Mass effect 3

Beitrag von XSienX »

Recently got back into Mass effect again, and just loved playing through both 1 and 2 all over again. If anyone else still pops into this part of the forums, are you excited for ME3? If so, what are some of the main things that you hope will be in the game?

Big sniper fan so I was extremely happy to see them change the way the sniper works in ME2, a little shaking would still be nice but not as much bad as it was in ME1.

Also enjoyed the armor customization that was brought into the second game.

After all this time, finished my renegade save with all survivors. Couldn't figure out why mordin died in all my other play throughs.., finally just said screw it and put him on escort.... really wish i had done that the first time i played.

Hi XSienX

For me it is important to have more RPG elements and features.
ME2 had a little bit to many action passages.

Thank you for the welcome :D

That would be nice as well, while I enjoyed the story for ME2 as well as 1, I'd like a bit more RPG feel too. I prefered finding random weapons and such off of enemies instead of just finding things to research. More exploration in some area's would have been nice.

The citadel for example; In ME1 you could explore it fairly well, problem was it was just chaotic to navigate, tons of elevators or relying on transports to get around from each small area of interest. While in ME2 it's more organized but feels far more restricted, everything is pretty much in one large cluster with floors. I'd hope they combine both of these in ME3 allowing a bit more organized exploration instead of the madness that was in ME1 and the restriction in ME2.

Noticed as well that we seemed to have to go more into the main story to make side quests pop up more. Prefered the random messages when checking the map, that way more random quests popped up without having to really dig down into the main story.

I have seen some Vids from ME3 and it looks good.
The only 2 Things that will don't let me buy it are:
1. EA Price politics
2. Origins.

To first:
EA sells the Game in 2 Versions: Normal and Collectors.
In Germany cost the first 50€, the collectors 70€.
BUT! On the 50€ Version you need a DLC to become the COMPLETE Story and this costs 10 Bugs extra! (In the Collectors it is in. )

What makes EA there is a pure client behavior asses!
And so i boycott this Game and EA in special. -.-

Sorry for Bioware, but so it is and so shall it be!
EA is a Gametrading legally Mafia and I do not support any criminals!

I've noticed this as well, as much as I like bioware, I cannot stand EA. They are far too focused lately on making faster cash instead of allowing devs produce better quality games. An example being the massive rush job done on dragon age 2, it could have been far better given they had more time.

Practice wise they are bad as well, I dislike how they had the dlc planned to release day 1, this is starting to become a habit with many games coming out. I personally feel cheated by this, they had the time to make a dlc pack for it, but opted to not just include it in the original game. The same crap was done with fable 3, its just shady and their reasoning for it is far from legit.

I thought ME3 was by far the weakest part of the trilogy.

While the gameplay seems very polished and works quite well mechanically, the story and atmosphere isn't at all comparable to that of the first two parts. it almost seems like the development was overly rushed and as a result the game lacks "soul" somehow.

and don't get me started on the endings...

It saddens me how disappointing the endings were in mass effect 3, just green, blue, and red, these are sad times indeed.

I was so captivated by the first two, (although 2 was kinda borderline movie territory) and then to just throw it all away at the end, it's a damn shame.

What has you await? It is an EA Product.
Since C&C Tiberian Wars, EA is dead to me.
I only play older Games from them, before the last C&C, but ME i have only the first Part. The Second i have played some Hours, but i was bored from it.
The third i hasn't playd, but by what i hear and read in the Inet, it was the right decision.

The next Game from an EA subsidiary is C&C Generals 2, but other Games i don't will buy from them.

Okay, maybe had one day of Bioware TOR, but only when it is mature and at least one addon ...

ME3 to me was such a downgrade from the other two games, really sad seeing a good series ending like that.

well for me it still bugs me that the maps are so big without a good way to travel quickly between them , seriously I wore my W off my button.

I enjoyed ME3.
It didn't have the Wonder, or special feeling of the previous 2, but then it was the 3rd time, so less fresh, and the game was looking for a darker tone.
I played through it twice and thought it was excellent, the series standards are so high a small drop in quality doesn't make it worthless.

I was disappointed that the graphics and character models looked so much worse than ME2.

Loved the game, but the ending is just terrible, it really is one of the worst endings I've ever seen in a game.

I hope they come up with a better ending for Andromeda.
