Hi Leute.
Seit dem 23.03. ist eine neue Chatbox am Start, wenn ihr mal kurz Miteinander Reden wollt, ohne gleich dauerhaft was zu schreiben, dann könnt ihr das hier tun. Wir hatten früher mal zu PHPBB 2.X Zeiten eine Chatbox, jetzt bin ich durch Zufall auf eine Version für das Aktuelle PHPBB gestoßen.
Die Chatbox selbst findet Ihr oben Seitenkopf als Textlink mChat. Wenn ihr darauf klickt, dann habt ihr die Möglichkeit einmal die Chatbox selbst zu Öffnen (mChat Seite), oder das Archiv auf zu rufen (Archiv).
Wenn ihr die Chatbox Seite öffnet, dann seht ihr auch schon die Hauptseite der Chatbox. Hier gibt es eigentlich nicht viel zu sagen. Oben seht ihr die Nachrichten, unten könnt ihr schreiben.
Neben dem Feld, wo ihr schreibt, seht ihr noch zwei Buttons. Einer mit einem Smilie Symbol zeigt die bekannten Smilies, die benutzt werden können, der andere mit den beiden Pfeilen steht für die BBCODES die ihr auch aus dem Forum selbst her kennt. Auch hier könnt ihr alle BBCODES aus dem Forum verwenden. Nur eine kleine bitte. Benutzt wenn Möglich kleine Smilies, damit die Texte nicht zu hoch werden.
Der eine Pfeil der nach Rechts innerhalb des Textfeldes zeigt sendet ebenfalls die Nachricht.
Wenn ihr einen Text schreibt, und ihr wollte eine neue Zeile im Textfeld schreiben, dann verwendet bitte die Tastenkombination strg + Enter. Enter allein schickt die Nachricht nämlich ab.
Wenn ihr die ChatBox Seite offen habt, dann habt ihr oben im Seitenkopf mit dem Link mChat hier noch zwei zusätzliche Möglichkeiten:
1. Ton ist an. Hier könnt ihr Töne der Chatbox EIN oder Aus stellen. Wenn also eine neue Nachricht geschrieben wird usw. dann wird ein kleiner Ton abgespielt.
2. Enter sendet die Nachricht / Enter fügt eine neue Zeile hinzu.
Je nachdem was ihr hier einstellt, wird die Wirkung der Entertaste geändert. Per Default ist es so, dass die Enter Taste allein die Nachricht sendet. Wenn ihr eine neue Zeile im Text einfügen wollt, dann müsst ihr die strg + Enter drücken.
Wenn ihr die andere Option "Enter fügt eine neue Zeile hinzu" wählt, wird das Verhalten um gedreht. Enter alleine erzeugt eine neue Zeile im Textfeld, während strg + Enter die Nachricht abschickt.
Im Archiv sind alle älteren Nachrichten gespeichert.
Wenn ihr Nachrichten schreibt, dann habt ihr max. 500 Zeichen Pro Nachricht.
Aus Flutungsschutzgründen könnt ihr nur alle 10 Sekunden eine Nachricht schreiben.
Aus diesen Flutungsschutzgründen heraus ist es auch nur Möglich max. 5 Nachrichten in Folge zu schreiben. Wenn ihr diese 5 Nachrichten geschrieben habt, dann könnt ihr erst wieder eine neue Nachricht schreiben, wenn ein anderer etwas geschrieben hat.
Wenn ihr eine Nachricht korrigieren oder löschen müsst oder wollt, dann habt ihr max. 10 Sekunden Zeit, danach kann die Nachricht nicht mehr geändert oder gelöscht werden.
Noch eine kleine Bitte an alle. haltet euch bitte an die allgem. Höflichkeit. Also bitte keine Beleidigungen oder ähnliches.
In eurem persönlichen Profilbereich habt ihr noch eine kleine Möglichkeit Einstellungen vor zu nehmen. Öffnet dafür euer Profil und geht dort auf das Register mChat. Dort könnt ihr dann ein paar Kleinigkeiten einstellen.

A new chatbox has been live since March 23rd. If you want to chat quickly without having to write anything, you can do so here. We used to have a chatbox back in the days of PHPBB 2.X, and now I've accidentally stumbled upon a version for the current PHPBB.
You can find the chatbox itself at the top of the page header as a text link (mChat). If you click on it, you have the option to open the chatbox itself (mChat page) or access the archive (archive).
When you open the chatbox page, you'll see the main chatbox page. There's not much to say here. You can see the messages at the top, and you can write below.
Next to the text field, you'll see two buttons. One with a smiley symbol shows the familiar smileys that can be used, the other with the two arrows represents the BBCODES that you're familiar with from the forum itself. You can also use all the BBCODES from the forum here. Just one small request: Use small smileys if possible so the text isn't too tall.
The arrow pointing to the right within the text field also sends the message.
If you're typing text and want to add a new line in the text field, please use the key combination Ctrl + Enter. Enter alone sends the message.
If you have the ChatBox page open, you have two additional options at the top of the page header with the mChat link:
1. Sound is on. Here you can turn chatbox sounds ON or OFF. So, when a new message is written, etc., a small sound is played.
2. Enter sends the message / Enter adds a new line.
Depending on what you set here, the effect of the Enter key changes. By default, the Enter key alone sends the message. If you want to insert a new line in the text, you have to press Ctrl + Enter.
If you choose the other option, "Enter adds a new line," the behavior is reversed. Enter alone creates a new line in the text field, while Ctrl + Enter sends the message.
All older messages are saved in the archive.
When you write messages, you have a maximum of 500 characters per message.
To prevent spam, you can only write one message every 10 seconds.
For these spam protection reasons, you can only write a maximum of 5 messages in a row. Once you have written these 5 messages, you can only write a new message after someone else has written something.
If you need or want to correct or delete a message, you have a maximum of 10 seconds; after that, the message can no longer be changed or deleted.
One more small request to everyone: please observe common courtesy. So please no insults or similar.
In your personal profile area, you have a small option to adjust settings. To do this, open your profile and go to the mChat tab. There you can adjust a few small settings.
Then have fun chatting.
